I wrote almost all songs within a time span of a year and I literally started from scratch. These amazing people helped me put the whole production together. I travelled from Spain to Finland, to The Netherlands and back to Spain for all the recordings, mixed in Seville and some parts were recorded without me being there. It was in Santa Barbara, California and Seville, Spain.
Paco @francoislg_ , is the one I worked with the most.His guitars are the most gentle,, powerful and passionate you'll ever hear. But his productional input, his ideas, twists and tweaks were so inspiring that I finished the album with him. Thank you so much, Paco, you're the best.⭐
Tino, @tinovandersman is an amazing flamenco guitarist. I hardly dared to ask him to write a guitar part for 'Shadowdancing'.... 'Yeah, sure', he said, 'send it to me'. Man, it is so extremely beautiful. I don't know, but it is a special and different song. Thank you, leñador ;) !
JP van de Berge recorded my bass and drum ideas. I like a melodic bass and it's what he does best. Look for them in the songs! Thank you, JP.
Jose @jamontanus recorded my acoustic guitar in Finland. Jose was also my guitarist in my first band in Sevilla. Nice job, Jose : )
With Jordi Gil of #sputnikrecordingstudio,I mixed the album. Jordi is a total soundwizzard and it's a joy to watch him convert things into magic. Thank you once again, captain! Pascal was a witness 🦗.
Laura Stavinoha recorded the gentle piano in King Of Queens. I ran to her when I had to write a bridge in a few hours because of time pressure. So nice, girl! Thank you.
David @davidsegallmusic is the captain's voice you're hearing in Flight Mode. He recorded it at the beach of the Pacific Ocean. And I just love that detail. Awsome, David, thank you so much.
Last but not least: Jorn Schakenraad created the artwork in the booklet. He is an amazing artist and concept designer, so I wanted him on the team. Special mention for @olphomadrid and @monnegram for providing the additional artwork and photos. 🙏✈🖤
Dear all, it's amazing how you all reacted to the video. So many emails, comments, messages and texts I received from you guys. I am thrilled. It is only the start and I'm taking my time, but expect a lot more nice stuff, thank you's and how to's Little by little. We are still on the runway with this project.
