Yes, among other nominees from all over the world, our EP Awakenings, the electronica-ish music I made with spanish avant garde project ‘Die Stadt’, is selected in the category ‘best EP of 2020’. Say wháaaattt?? : )
The song is a snippet from ‘ Back to the Source’. There is a original and a radio edit version of it on the EP. If interested in purchasing it, just head over to my little shop. This way you help me earn a living. Think of it as ‘fair-trade’ music. The Spotify and Amazon people are already quite affluent and their deal with smaller independent artists is, well… smaller than the tiniest dot you can imagine. So thank you for considering purchasing or patronizing my work. https://sas.red/shop/ , x! Sas
The 3d of December, Die Stadt and I are finally presenting you ”Awakenings”, a collaboration album of avant-garde downtempo electronica by Die Stadt combined with vocals, melodies and lyrics by yours truly.
The project has been lying around, finished, in the corner of a drawer for quite some time, but Antonio of Die Stadt and I thought now is the perfect time to give you the positive and calming sounds of hope, transformation and clarity.
We created 4 tracks for you and what makes this minialbum so special is that, as we are two different musical universes combined, we opted for a two-fold release: We proudly present: ”Awakenings: The Daytime Mix”, where DieStadts’ signature sound is headlining and ”Awakenings-The Nighttime Mix”, where a more song-like production is maintained.
3. Back to the Source
4. Midnight Sun Smiles (instrumental)
5. Back to the source (radio edit)
Shout out to François Le Goffic who recorded and and co- produced my vocals.
Along with the purchase of the album you will not only receive the 4+1 tracks, but the 24 page, full color printable booklet with beautiful artwork some additional info and all lyrics designed by Antonio Montilla.
By purchasing the mix of your choice, you will make a big difference in the way we artists can keep on creating and living. Especially now that our income has decreased by not being able to perform, due to the pandemic.I am immensely proud of this album and I hope you will enjoy this music as much as we did, creating it. Thank you, lovely people, xx S
Back from my voyage I am! The pirates treated me honorably and I earned my 11 cm scar and I’m wearing it with dignity. (hey, I’m one of them now, I’m allowed to brag about my kills & scars -chuckle- ) Dr. Foruría and his medical team at Hospital Jímenez Díaz in Madrid did an amazing job. My recovery was relatively swift and perfect and guess what: I still can’t play the guitar properly, after this, so everything is just as fine as before 😉
As we are still in wild waters, with the covid storm raging, I’ve decided to extend my absence from the socials a little longer. I do have another song to share though, from the ‘Uncharted Ground’ album, which will be released tomorrow! I love this song! It’s about inspiration, admiration and growth. A very cool flight experience awaits you. The album, I have decided, will be released on the platforms in the near future, even though I can’t execute on my 3 killer video ideas I had in mind to accompany the release.
Even though I keep low key at the moment, I’d appreciate your subscription to the YouTube channel, Insta and Facebook and my website. The website’s a safe base in these loud and changing internet times. We can’t play for you now, and as a consequence, we have to miss out on the income that came from the live performances. If you like, you can support your favorite artist on their socials and buy their music or merch. You can purchase ‘Uncharted Ground’ here on my website of course. And or go to http://www.cloudnineairlines.rocks for the best Flight Experience. : )
It’s a cool thing to consider. Many have released their music for free and keep doing so, pressured by the changed concept of music consumption. Now, our main source of income from music has evaporated too. Bút: theater, galleries, art and music will be back. Pay it forward 🙂
Hang in there, be safe, be responsible, and to speak with Ehrman: strive to be happy. See you soon, lovely people, thank you so much for your support.
Stay tuned for the new song and lyrics video tomorrow! X, Sas

Hello Friends, I hope you are all fine and doing amazing. I thought I’d get in touch, as there are a few things I wanted to share with you: First of all this : A couple of weeks ago I tripped while out in the streets and I broke my arm. Yes, very unfortunate, but boy, was I lucky: what amazing doctors and medical staff at Hospital Fundación Jiménez Díaz, here in Madrid. They did such a phenomenal job and they were all so nice and professional: they put the bone together with screws and now it is up to me to rest, take it easy , do what the doctor says and hopefully start with recovery exercises in August. I was told to be able to take up de guitar again within 5- 6 months. That’s a long time, but well, I am lucky to have such fantastic people around me and these amazing medical people. A big shout out to them and to my friends who stand by my side, helping me out with chores.
So, I thought: It’s a good time to have break (chuckle), as I won’t be able to work for now; work as in: doing concerts or shooting video’s. There were music video’s to be shot for the unreleased songs I have and I’m putting it all on the shelf for a while.
So a summer stop. But a social media one. I am joining the pirates for a while. (Got the scar now, so I was accepted ; ) . I want to explore the lawless, no pressure-freedom of creation again. Very eager to explore these new ideas, at my own pace.
So no social media updates for the summer but you can always join the newsletter-blog list of this page, if you like. I might blog now and again here and as for business: please feel free to get in touch. You can reach me in the ‘contact’ section on this page.
After summer, in the fall, I may return with a new Short Story Sunday series or an entire new series, I don’t know yet but for sure: expect some releases of songs and projects that are all kept in my drawer until then 🙂 (‘Uncharted Ground’ , after all, still remains ‘unreleased’. However, the album ís for sale 😉 and you don’t want to miss out on it. ‘Courrrrse ! )
I will keep recording for other artists and producers, though. If you need harmonies, backingvocals, or a female vocal for your production: Reach out, I’m here :), nothing’s changed there.
I’m leaving you with the last ” Home” video, in case you hadn’t seen it before. Shot during the global lockdown. Does it contain a city that is dear to you? Like, comment, subscribe: you know you help me spread the notes and it’s free : )
For now: have an amazing summer, take care and keep flying high! xx, Sas
Dear friends, Here’s the song and video for ’’Home’, for you to enjoy. For this video, I collaborated with various videographers who generously shared their awesome world lockdown footage for this video. You can find their channels in the info below the video. Watch until the end. : )
It is dedicated to all the good people that are working in the covid frontline, giving their all. And to all families who lost a loved one on the corners of these empty streets. Please let the hard work and their lonely deaths not be in vain: take care of yourself and of each other: let’s remain responsible, compassionate and positive.
Meanwhile, the sun is shining and you might want to turn up the volume and rock along ; )
Please like, comment, subscribe and share if you’d like to show your appreciation. You support our work by spreading our art. Thanks and have an amazing day, wherever you are⭐️, xx Sas
Here we are: grounded until further notice. All of a sudden we caught ourselves in such turbulence that the wisest decision was to turn back and keep our planes on the ground. For however long it’d take.
And it’s the weirdest sensation not to know what skies we will encounter when it is safe enough to fly again. Will it be the same? Will we be able to taxi our way to the runway at all? Some will need to mend some damage, others will have to begin from scratch. Some of us will take off where they landed and have the smoothest flight. Others will never fly again or ‘ll be too afraid to ever try. And some of us, sadly, have gone up to the skies already and sent off on a lonely journey.
I hope the now fresher air and clearer waters, will make us come to our senses and make us see how lucky we are to be even alive. There is no scarcity, I believe. We’ll have to find ways to distribute and share the abundance there is in this world. We are all applauding for the people that are running our countries right now: medical staff, healthcare workers, cleaners, delivery people, police, yes, ánd our politicians. No-one has any experience on how to handle this invisible organism, that seems to be our destroyer and saviour at the same time.
As for me, I am safe and doing well, worried sometimes and letting myself get carried away, which is unpleasant, then when aware, gently herding myself back to a place where I feel joyful, again. It is an exercise and now is the time to put all theory in practice. And I feel very appreciative of all that I have: a roof over my head, food in my belly and family and friends to call.
I am studying a lot: music production, mixing and related stuff. I’m also listening to music again, something I wasn’t doing as much these last few years. I was always busy creating music and when I wasn’t working, I just wanted silence, ‘cause music triggers a lot in me. And it is not something that particularly relaxes me. But now I am, headphones on, when I’m walking in circles or zig zagging in the open community space below my apartment, to keep in shape, get some fresh air and to keep the blood running. (That’s the blood, not me. I walk, gheghe)
The situation is giving me space to find new artistic aspects of myself. And to come up with new strategies to offer my product to you in a way it’s beneficial for both parties. We have a mini album coming up, a beautiful collaboration with DieStadt; the ‘Uncharted Ground’ album still remains unreleased, apart from the crowdfunders and buyers, to whom the album was sent. And I have a lot of great songs to publish from that album. I’m also beginning to feel the need to turn back to the lab and create something that’s been an idea for years. Also, I’m setting up something to offer you guys to enjoy and at the same time serves me to compensate for the live gigs that have now fallen through. Most of us musicians are losing a part of their income as we cannot play live for, who knows how long.
We’ll be in our houses here in Spain, at least until the 9th of May. I am proud of this country, even though I am only a resident. It is being hit hard, as its demography counts a lot of seniors. Something that cannot be weighed in economic strategy and then get compared to other, much smaller countries, that have a younger population. We have to work together, it’s the only way to make everybody win.
We got this. Stay safe and dream big, lovely people.
